When the display says F3/E2
A Kenmore 665 model range raises F3/E2 when its oven goes beyond 575 degrees F with Bake running.
What the manual has you do
Remove power from the range, or simply unplug it.
Should you find the oven temperature sensor’s wire loose, seat it firmly again.
Past that point a technician takes over. The harness gets inspected, the sensor’s resistance is read, and the readings settle whether the sensor or the electronic oven control (EOC) is replaced.
Look-alike codes
F3/E3: the overtemperature message that appears in Clean mode.
A Kenmore range that overheats in Bake mode can be booked for a San Francisco or Bay Area visit by phoning (415) 825-6393. Mention F3/E2, the model number and whether the sensor wire was loose when you looked. The Kenmore range repair page explains what a visit covers.
Model compatibility: Kenmore reuses codes across series and model years, so F3/E2 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
